How to find Snow in Cheshire on Bickerton Hill

14 January 2021
Bickerton Hill in the Snow, Cheshire

We’re currently in Lockdown 3 and there’s no sugar coating it, it’s grim isn’t it? At this time of year we would usually be heading out into North Wales to find snow. However, our usual spots of Loggerheads, Moel Famau and Clocaenog are now off-limits to us. It’s our favourite thing to do as a family, sledging and magical snowy forest walk. We’re gutted but we get it and we’re thankful to everyone doing their bit to get us out.

Shortly before we got locked down hard we managed to escape for walk and being forced to stay within England boundaries, ended up in Bickerton, Cheshire.

As we approached it suddenly became apparent that despite the vast plains of Cheshire being damp, grey and wet, the hill stood out from it was indeed covered in Snow.

Check out our previous trips to Bickerton, Mad Allen’s Hole and The Sandstone Trail for more information.
