If tranquility, being off grid and close to nature appeals, Wonderful Wilderness will not disappoint. Just 12 pitches set within 50 acres, our farm is situated between forest, rivers, and countryside. Views in every direction are stunning. We are very remote, and have no close neighbours. We are right next to the Dyffnant forest where walks are aplenty. We are 40 mins from stunning beaches and 40 mins from Snowdonia National Park by car. Lake Vyrnwy can be accessed through the forest straight from the farm by mountain bike where there is a RSPB reserve. There are 3 local steam trains a short drive away. If you fancy staying at the farm, there is plenty of wildlife: ducks, a ‘resident’ heron, kites, bats, badgers and even otters have been spotted to name just a few.
Apart from enjoying the amazing setting and wildlife, you could also try your luck at fishing from our river (provided you have a rod licence).
We have 12 camping pitches and one shepherd hut due to arrive in April – the Shepherd Hut is in a seprate field and has more facilities available than the camping.
